Solidarity Kitchen Campaign – Sociedade Musical Simpatia e Gratidão
AMURT (Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team) Lisbon will continue its food support initiatives, as part of the AMURT Covid 19 campaign.
The Solidarity Kitchen is under way at the Sociedade Musical Simpatia e Gratidão, in Carnaxide, with the support of its youth group and in collaboration with Refood Carnaxide. We are cooking and distributing ready-made meals every week.
We will continue to support, whenever possible, the distribution of baskets by the Academia Jonhson of the MULA Cooperative and others.
How can I help:
- By collecting and donating food
- By helping to cook the meals
- By making a monetary donation
What to collect:
Food goods such as:
Rice – Pasta – Beans – Chickpeas – Lentils – Peas – Flour – Potatoes – Olive oil – Vegetables
How to collect:
- Collect food from family, relatives, friends and neighbors
- Place a cardboard box, or a large bag (plastic or raffia) in your building, at the corner grocery store, or wherever is most convenient, and ask for contributions in kind. Link to an example poster HERE.
- Collect products near their expiry date from shops and supermarkets
How to deliver / have the goods collected:
There are 3 options:
- we can collect from your address (contact-free)
- you can deliver to our headquarters in Olaias
- you can deliver to the Sociedade Musical (Mondays, 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm)
