Earth Day has become an annual event at Răsărit Kindergarten, focusing on the ecological theme over several weeks. This year, the recycling chapter was covered, and the children learned about sorting trash through an interactive game. They also made costumes with "Earth Day Is Every Day" and learned special songs for Earth Day (composed by our teachers). Earth Day ended with the planting of flowers in the garden, together with Roxana, a volunteer from Scotland. The film provides a sample of Neohumanist Education put into practice. Neohumanist Education places special emphasis on nurturing an interest in ecology, tolerance for diversity, socio-emotional competences and the cultivation of an inner peace and harmony, these being important factors for balancing the personality in a modern global context.
