The educators at Rasarit Kindergarten have the role of forming in children a taste for activities that do their souls good and from which others also benefit. Few people still know how to offer kindness to those around them. To have a beautiful life you must carry a few values in your soul: love, respect, faith, kindness. Without them there is nothing. If each of us did even a little for change, the world would truly be better; there are people in the world in difficult situations who are much more optimistic, loving and cheerful than we are. Let us not reject those who are not like us; on the contrary, let us try to understand them and learn something from them, especially from children. On our path through life we discover many things about children and their families, who live in poverty but rejoice at every thing that other children their age did not know how to do. So we learn that every child is precious, special, even if they differ in appearance or behavior. These children, by the very fact that they exist, make us more sensitive, better, more tolerant.
We should rejoice more in what we have and look at the world with different eyes. These children are innocent, they offer us models for life, they offer love unconditionally and deserve to be treated with respect. In this regard, volunteer actions can help a great deal. Volunteering helps people feel that they make a difference, that they have the power to change things for the better; it gives you the possibility to change people's lives for the better, even your own. If you want to support a cause and do not have money to donate, you can donate a little of your time. People who get involved in volunteering must be, above all, patient. This is a quality that should stand beside altruism, empathy and involvement in the life of the community. We all have at least one thing we are good enough at, so we all have something to say for the benefit of a person who needs help, for the benefit of the street, the neighborhood or the city in which we live. What matters is that we want it and do it with all our soul. What we must know is that anyone can become a volunteer and make a contribution, however small, to the world around us. As I said, what matters is that we want it!
Even though they are very small, the children in our kindergarten learn to accept and respect the rules of living together in a group, to experience positive emotional states in relationships with those around them, to show friendship, tolerance and harmony, and to understand the good, the true and the beautiful in their own deeds and in those of others. The educators of our kindergarten, together with the children, have tried to create moments of joy for the disadvantaged children at the nearby school and for the grandparents at the nursing home, offering them small surprises, a lot of love and warmth of soul. It is said that what you do for others may remain, which is why I believe it would be very beautiful for us to unite and not remain indifferent to the needs of our fellow human beings.
