Uma Nilayam – From Vision to Vibrant Reality

Over the past three years, due to the efforts of Didi Ananda Samprajina and the sisters, this place has been greatly transformed and has blossomed.

✅ Here’s what they’ve accomplished over these last three years:
• Fully renovated and transformed the property into a serene retreat space
• Held two LPT Trainings, with 24 new LPTs graduating
• Completed two LFT Trainings, welcoming eight new LFTs into the community
• Hosted our first Sadhana Camp and a much-loved Meditation & Ceramics Retreat
• Organized plenty of local weekend retreats for margiis in Italy
• Installed a fully equipped ceramics studio for creativity and therapeutic expression
• Cultivated our olive grove and produced our own olive oil
• Expanded our herbal gardens to support our growing line of natural cosmetic products
• Developed and launched Uma’s Care, our own natural cosmetics brand, now offering 11 unique products crafted in our production kitchen

⏩ Next Phase Plans:
• Deepening the centre’s role as a primary space for meditation-focused retreats and volunteer training programs — creating more opportunities for visitors to join, practice, and grow spiritually
• Continuing to expand the Herbal Garden by planting new medicinal and aromatic plants
• Further developing the ceramics studio — a space where working with clay reflects meditation itself: cultivating patience, gentleness, and inner resilience
• Installing solar panels this spring — an important step toward complete environmental self-sufficiency and a neo-humanistic lifestyle in harmony with nature
