Earthquake emergency in Morocco

The tragedy that has struck Morocco was devastating.

Morocco’s National Institute of Geophysics recorded an earthquake of magnitude 7.0 with its epicenter in the municipality of Ighil, south of Marrakech. The depth of the quake was 8 kilometers.

The toll provided by the Ministry of the Interior worsens by the hour: 2,497 the number of victims and 2,476 the number of injured.

The Amurt Global team is already at work! The Global Coordinator of Amurt – a Dada experienced in earthquakes – and a
psychologist, both also present in the mission in Turkey, will arrive in Morocco.
