AMURT: Solidarity and Hope After the Floods in Spain

The volunteers of Amurt and Amurtel from Valencia, Madrid and the Canary Islands joined together to support the people affected by the devastating floods in Spain, showing that the strength of unity and service can transform lives.

They all worked tirelessly to clean up the devastated areas and distribute water, food and essential goods. Special thanks go to Ánanda Madhukara, who cooked and distributed hot meals, and to Rainjana, a Margii of Greek origin who made an extraordinary contribution to the cleanup operations.

At the same time, with the coordination of Didi Ánanda Harimayá, significant aid was provided to three particularly affected families: a washing machine, a sofa, a refrigerator, mattresses, blankets, appliances, a computer and clothes were donated to meet essential needs.

In addition, in Paiporta, one of the most affected areas, Dada Tiirthadevananda led a session of kiirtan and meditation to relieve the stress of the people affected, bringing a moment of serenity into a difficult situation.

Besides material aid, AMURT rebuilt a destroyed gate and built a new wall and a door to ensure security.
