Abha Seva Sadan Hosts Orthopedic Aids Camp in Jharkhand
An orthopaedic aids camp was held in Bokaro District, India, through a collaboration between Abha Seva Sadan and the NGO Jaipur Foot, providing customized mobility and rehabilitation support to children and adults with disabilities.
A total of 41 people benefited from the initiative. Twenty children with cerebral palsy received custom-made leg braces (calipers), while 21 adults were provided with 14 adjustable walking sticks, 2 crutches, and 5 hearing aids.
Jaipur Foot specialists measured and fabricated the children's leg braces on-site before fitting them individually.
Abha Seva Sadan coordinated the camp by screening and registering patients, providing nutritious meals throughout the program, and ensuring continued rehabilitation support after the camp. The initiative was facilitated by Dr Dilip Rout and Ac. Devashuddhananda Avt.
