About this Project
Jamalpur is where Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrti grew up and founded Ananda Marga. On that land a Master Unit, a small city, is being built. What remains is to finish paying for the land.
The Challenge
Some years ago the land was secured under a contract, at a low price and on credit. The place where the founder of Ananda Marga grew up now belongs to Ananda Marga. The obligations for the land have to be closed now, so that the city can go on being built there.
How this project works
Building has been going on since 2021. A school gives primary education to about 80 children, and a children’s home cares for 18. The clinic building stands and is being finished inside. The sisters’ quarters are about one third built, and a naturopathy center is under construction. Every year more than 10,000 people come to the center’s events, and more than 7,000 are helped by its service.
What the gift is for
What remains is the payment for the land: $823,500 for the land itself and $183,600 for the survey, the land records, legal work and fees.
