Visiting Kishore – Testimonial

After a journey of almost 30 hours, I arrived in the city of Purulia where two Didis were waiting for me. Naturally they were kind and affectionate and I quickly felt at ease. As the moment of fulfilling my wish approached, I became curious about the lives of these two women dedicated to caring for disadvantaged children. I knew beforehand that it is hard work and I came to understand that they manage to do it with the help of their faith and the help of Baba. Their balance between pragmatism and transcendence left me speechless.

So, on the afternoon of September 20, we arrived at Kishore’s school. And finally I was able to meet him. For me it was a moment of happiness – I had fulfilled my dream. He is such a dear, brave boy and I was so happy to meet him. Now he knows who it was that sent him all those postcards. I think it was also meaningful for him to meet me; he was excited and enjoying the moment. We talked a little and he asked me about cricket. I am thinking of returning to Ananda Nagar in the future just to see him. He is a wonderful person.

I also met many other brave and dear boys and girls. I was amazed by their efforts in study, their discipline and their courage. I ask God, Baba or Buddha to help them. They are doing so well.

I have always tried to make the best of life; but meeting them made me realize that I have not yet done enough.
