Uma Nilayam: a new center to help women in difficulty!

We have good news: a new Amurtel project to help women in difficulty!

Uma Nilayam is a new women’s center, a house in a hilly area immersed in
nature in Umbria, at Santa Maria, where yoga and meditation are practiced every day! An environment where calm reigns and where one can rediscover one’s inner energy.

The dream began in 2014 and finally in June 2023 it became possible to buy other parts of the structure. In particular, the project is aimed at women and children with the goal of promoting alternative and natural health, responding to the needs of the area by talking with social workers and associations. For this reason Amurtel has proposed specific activities: an Italian course and
social integration for immigrant women and a yoga course at the anti-violence center of Orvieto, and “Antonia’s tree”.

We are equipping the Center to hold ceramics and dance therapy courses, and during the summer, summer camps for children in need will begin.
