Intensive yoga and meditation retreat 2022
The intensive retreat “Live and spread joy” has just concluded, held from July 2 to 10 at the Ananda Vipasa center, in Valpolicella.
An inspiring experience, rich in challenges and sharing; full days, with a well-structured program of meditation, Yoga, theory lessons and moments of leisure – always grounded in spirituality.
One of the main themes addressed together with the instructors concerned the concept of Sadhana.
Sadhana, spiritual practice, literally means “effort”, but it is also “the transformation of fearful love into love without fear” (from Thoughts of P.R.Sarkar, p. 49).
This is because maintaining a lifestyle in line with the Ananda Marga philosophy requires constancy, discipline and surrender to the flow of Supreme Consciousness. But it also means letting a form of absolute love into one's life, one that is able to overcome every obstacle and form of suffering.
Dharma, instead, is the true essence of the human being, that which we aim at through spiritual expansion, service toward every form of existence and union with the entire universe. The concepts of Sadhana and Dharma are closely connected and were expressed in every moment of the retreat thanks to the direct experience of daily practices – such as Kiirtan and meditation 4 times a day, Asanas, personal cleanliness, the division of tasks and duties within the group – which aim precisely at drawing closer to a yogic lifestyle, thanks to which it is possible to connect both with one's own soul and with the other souls on the journey.
The ultimate goal of the intensive retreat, of spreading the philosophy and vision of this movement, therefore, is not only a way to expand the Ananda Marga community in Italy and Europe, but above all to join the forces and souls of those who recognize that a revolutionary action is necessary for human evolution and for progress in the social, economic and spiritual spheres. All this, living with harmony and joy, as brothers and sisters of the same mother earth.
Namaskar and see you next time!
