Holiday school camp in South Africa
The AMSAI project in South African Republic continues working. From March 30 to April 3 there were school holidays. There was a camp organized for children aged 4-12.
Not only students of the AMSAI school were invited but other kids from the area were welcomed as well. They were offered several kinds of activities : outdoor games, painting, dancing with animators, English reading. One of the special classes was on selfprotection and reacting on the abusive situations. Camp participants did some tests and practical exercises.
More than 150 children visited the camp during the 5 days. They got more than 20 classes, created about 300 art works. Everyone was given food, fruit and sweets everyday.
The camp is free for everyone. It's important for the local community as it occupies children during the holidays, provides food, new skills and communication between students from different schools
