Groundwater Expansion to Improve Water Supply at Umanivas, Anandanagar

Two separate groundwater wells are being developed to strengthen water access across Umanivas facilities in Anandanagar, serving the needs of over 150 people.

At Kanchan Compound, a large irrigation well measuring 25 feet in diameter and 35 feet in depth has been completed. It will supply water to Rarh AM Primary School and Rarh Hostel, and can also support the Girls’ Home when needed.

Separately, another well is currently under construction at the Umanivas College Compound to address local water shortages. It is expected to be completed by September to meet sufficient water pressure requirements for the college’s fire safety approval.
