The death toll from the massive twin earthquakes that struck South America in June has climbed past 6,000 and many thousands are still unaccounted for. Along with the loss of life, there are tens of thousands still displaced and facing homelessness and lack of basic necessities.

Amurtel teams have been invited to help in five shelters around the Caracas area. The families in these shelters lost everything they had, and and as they work  to find some normalcy while living in the cramped quarters of the shelter for so many months, they are also mourning the loss of family members, friends and their livelihoods. The AMURTEL teams offer counseling, yoga and meditation classes, and other tools for overcoming stress, anxiety, and long-term trauma. Your assistance at this time will help our team to provide care and essentials to those facing difficult days ahead.
