Computer Literacy Programme Launches in South Africa

The Ananda Jayanti Master Unit in Orange Farm, South Africa, has launched a free Computer Literacy Programme for 30 local young people through its new IT Center, in partnership with the Regenesys School of Technology and the Sechaba Sothle Youth Wing.

The programme is the first phase of a broader digital skills initiative that will introduce participants to coding, robotics, and artificial intelligence. Regenesys has supported the project through the donation of 30 laptops, as well as staff and educational resources for the new IT centre.

The initiative will expand opportunities for young people in Orange Farm, where the Sechaba Sothle Youth Wing represents more than 1,000 youth, making this inaugural group of 30 the beginning of a much wider community programme.
