The Autumn Bazaar, one of the traditions at Răsărit Kindergarten, was hosted in the first week of November. The weather was cold and rainy at Răsărit Kindergarten no. 2, so we held the event indoors, but at Răsărit Kindergarten no. 1 the weather was warm and sunny, so the yard was transformed into an open market. The parents were the "customers" and the children were very proud in their role as "sellers". The children were busy over several weeks, making many crafts, making jam, pickling vegetables and cooking sweets for the bazaar. It is also the time when we talk about Romania and Romanian traditions. The children wore traditional Romanian costumes, and at Răsărit Kindergarten no. 2 they performed a traditional dance for the parents. The events ended with a "raffle" – a toy swap.
