Baan Unrak Foundation Provides Relief for Flood-Affected Families in Myanmar
Baan Unrak Foundation, together with AMURTEL, Green Island School and local volunteers, delivered emergency relief to 830 households in Myanmar’s Ayeyarwady Region, where severe flooding had cut communities off from food and essential supplies.
In Lemyethna Township, 500 households received food, mosquito nets, sleeping mats and torches.
A team of 15 local volunteers used 17 rented boats to carry supplies through flooded areas and reach isolated communities.
In Hinthada Township, another 330 households received rice and cooking oil sufficient for approximately one month.
AMURTEL provided funding and coordination, while local partners helped identify vulnerable families and organise distributions.
