Baan Unrak Children Showcase Handwoven Fashion at Mahidol University

Accompanied by six staff members, 35 children travelled from Sangkhlaburi, with some younger participants taking the runway for the first time.

The show featured traditional handwoven textiles from Baan Unrak’s weaving and tailoring project.

The initiative, which started in 1995, provides employment for local women, particularly single mothers, while preserving traditional Burmese weaving skills.

Older children helped care for younger participants throughout the trip, and university students assisted with preparations before the show.
