Baan Unrak Builds 77 Homes for Displaced Families in Myanmar
Baan Unrak staff and Green Island School volunteers have completed the construction of 77 homes for families displaced by the 2025 Myanmar earthquake, fulfilling a commitment made after the disaster.
Construction began in May 2025, with the final homes completed in May 2026. The 'We Help You to Fly' programme was created by Italian margii sister Cristina to fulfil the wish of her parents, Lucia Mezzari and Ermanno Noce, to help alleviate suffering in the world.
The housing project will provide safe shelter to families struggling from the region's extreme monsoon rains, heat, and displacement from the ongoing conflict in the country.
Volunteers also continued providing humanitarian assistance, including medical support and aid for low-income families.
