Covid-19 Pandemic Relief in Porto

In the deserted streets of Porto and with very few resources available, the vulnerable population is greatly affected and isolated by the state of emergency, which forced the closure of many establishments and associations that supported some of these people.

Amurt is also working right now in collaboration with the by now very few NGOs still operating, which are overwhelmed by the growing number of people in need seen in recent days, who join the lines to receive a meal and some of the essential goods provided.

We are working in accordance with the WHO and SNS guidelines for the protection of everyone involved, and providing useful information so that people stay as protected as possible within the constraints of each person's life.

Although we know that contact with the most vulnerable population must be kept brief, we do what we can to make them feel better, reminding them that they are not forgotten during this period of crisis for all of us.

We appeal to the general public and to any company for support with foodstuffs, alcohol-based disinfectants, protective masks, etc., so that our work can continue on behalf of the neediest and most deprived.
