Ananda Marga School in India Celebrates Teachers and Vidyasagar’s Legacy

Vidyasagar was a 19th-century Indian educator, writer and social reformer known for championing women’s education and widow remarriage.

Students and staff presented cultural performances and scenes from Vidyasagar's life. Around 40 retired teachers attended, along with invited educators.

The school honoured Partha Sarathi Das, a retired headteacher from Udaipur, Tripura, with its Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar award for his contributions to education.

School staff were also recognised for their work throughout the year.
