AMURTEL Home Bakery Supports Families in Southern Gaza
AMURTEL’s Home Bakery initiative continues to operate in al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, southern Gaza, under the coordination of Hadeel Jamal Zourob, leader of Team AMURTEL in Gaza.
The project is run by widowed women, providing them with income and fresh bread which is distributed to displaced families living in tent camps.
In February, the initiative reached 180 families, benefiting approximately 900 people. By April and through May, support had expanded to 250 families across four camps, reaching around 1,250 beneficiaries.
AMURTEL is also carrying out separate food and water distribution efforts to support families affected by the ongoing crisis.
These project are supported through donations from AMURT/EL global networks and well-wishers, coordinated by Avtka Ananda Rasasudha (AMURTEL Middle East Representative).
