AMURT Responds to 7.8 Earthquake in Sarangani, Philippines

AMURT/EL is responding to the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Glan, Sarangani, leaving at least 35 people dead, 12 missing, and over 200 injured due to collapsed structures and landslides.

Over three days, volunteers distributed food, new clothing, essential relief supplies, and fresh vegetables to displaced families, while also conducting psychosocial activities, including art workshops for children living in evacuation sites. The team additionally served meals to 300 children.
