Following the tragic events in the Philippines, with the occurrence of a magnitude 7.2 earthquake in Bohol and now a Super Typhoon (Yolanda or Haiyan), with local authorities fearing a high number of dead and displaced in the regions of Leyte, Samar, Cebu, Lloilo and Mindoro, AMURT Philippines is carrying out humanitarian support actions in that country. At this moment, AMURT teams have already completed, in six days, the distribution of 5,670 individual meals, in Sagbayan Town, Bohol. Reports of the assistance of AMURT volunteers can be followed on the official website of AMURT Philippines.
Given the scale of the calamity and with operatives on the ground, AMURT PORTUGAL is organizing a fundraiser to help alleviate the suffering caused in the mentioned regions. The value of the euro in the Philippines is high, so small contributions can make a big difference in that country.
AMURT Portugal has prepared an account for this relief action.
Donations can be made to the account with NIB 0035 0099 0004507443141 at Caixa Geral de Depósitos. (optionally, you can also use PayPal)
