AMURT Installs Four Community Boreholes in Nigeria
AMURT has completed the installation of four new boreholes in rural communities across Ishielu Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, improving access to clean and safe drinking water for local residents.
The project was carried out in partnership with the Ishielu Local Government Council, with funding support from the Emmanuel Antola Foundation. The location of boreholes were selected based on needs assessments, public sensitisation and hydrogeological surveys to ensure the project reached the most afflicted communities.
Completed in May 2026, the boreholes now provide safe drinking water to villages that previously relied on streams, ponds, and rivers, helping improve public health and quality of life.
